Insight into Action Research: Lessons Learned from Week 2

This past week provided much insight in regards to action research.  After reviewing interviews with prominent educators, I discovered that action research and the data used in research is more readily available than I would have imagined.  Many districts are now actively engaged in research and encourage or expect teachers to do the same.  Furthermore, I discovered from week 2 the nine passions that can result in an administrator's first "wondering".  I found that I identify strongly with a few of the passions and was surprised when I was able to use my own experiences as examples of action research stimulated by one of the passions.  Until this course, action research was an unknown term.  Now, I realize that I have already been a participant!
